Cam Gear Blank

My boss decided to replace the cam gear bake oven on the assembly line with an induction heater to localize the heating about the hub and prevent the cam gear teeth from softening in the hot oven. He needed to know how various heating cycles affected the induced thermal gradients within the gear, so I made this gear blank and attached thermocouples to it in multiple places. I connected the thermocouples to a data acquisition card in a laptop and wrote a program to sample and plot the temperature data over the heating cycle.
